Post St. Patrick's

So my first Paddy's day here in Ireland. I was expecting something more traditional, but the day surprised me with a very colourful parade similar to the one we have in Italy for "carnevale", where masked people and chariots parade through the main street.
People attending the event (me included) were also wearing all sorts of green clothes and accessories, from stupid hats to temporary tattoos, in a very contagious "Irish pride" emotion!

Trim Castle

So winter season is at his best (sort of), and traveling with the motorbike is not so nice. But with a 14 € return bus ticket, you can get outside Dublin and experience the (cold) hinterland, in particular the town of Trim, where a very scenic castle has been used as a location for Braveheart movie.

I had some extra pictures saved on my mobile, and I got a chance to download them to a computer via bluetooth just now, 5 months after I took them.

They've been taken in the south west of France, when I was hosted in Fa (near Foix). I was impressed by the castles and the cliffs of this region on the Pyrenees.
